Naples: Osimhen, Anguissa and the next transfer moves

The 4-2-3-1 could lead to a change in evaluations for the winter session. Also considering the absence of Osimhen and Anguissa for the Africa Cup, here’s what could happen

– Naples

Aurelio De Laurentiis and Rudi Garcia must necessarily look ahead, both in the standings and with regards to their next moves.

seed for the future

In fact, January is near and it could be a key month for Napoli who will be called to a double test, on and off the pitch. From a technical-tactical point of view, in fact, two fundamental elements such as Anguissa and Osimhen will be missing, who will be involved in the Africa Cup of Nations and consequently – right in midfield where Demme will emerge – a “hole” will be created which will necessarily be covered with a graft. Therefore, paradoxically the Napoli that played against Milan could represent a “seed” for the team to come.

module and market

Yes, because against the Rossoneri the absence of Osimhen forced not only Garcia to make a choice between Raspadori and Simeone but also to try them together, as perhaps – also judging from the second half with the Rossoneri – will happen more and more often. Therefore the 4-2-3-1 seems to be a clear path that Napoli will follow from here shortly, also according to what Garcia declared after the match on Sunday. Precisely by virtue of this change of module on the horizon, the January market could also be oriented differently with respect to the need to form the “pairs” of the 4-3-3.

study phase

This is why Anguissa’s absence could be felt even more than that of Osimhen given that first of all he is the balancer of the blue midfield and secondly because pure midfielders are in short supply in Garcia’s midfield. In fact, besides Cajuste, there are no other midfielders given that Lobotka is a full-fledged director while Zielinski and Elmas are insertion midfielders. Consequently, it could be useful to have a flexible player like Gianluca Gaetano in the squad but another midfielder will necessarily be needed to place behind Lobotka while waiting to understand whether – precisely – Zielinski or Elmas will be inserted behind the attacker or wingers in the trident. This is why Meluso, Micheli and Mantovani are studying profiles of “pure” midfielders such as, for example, Albert Grønbæk Erlykke of Bodo Glimt.
