Visser, who scored 14,000 points, only saw Olympic bridge champion Kaylia Nemour from Algeria do better on Monday: she scored 15,533 points. Sanna Veerman occupies third place in the bridge classification with 13,966 points.

Visser and Veerman have to wait seven more subdivisions on Tuesday until they know whether their scores are sufficient for the apparatus final (top 8).
“I find it very difficult to estimate where this will take me,” Visser said afterwards. “There are still many gymnasts coming and I don’t have a good idea of who is capable of what. In any case, I can’t do anything anymore. I have to sit and wait.”
Visser is currently in fifth place in the all-around (51,066 points). Japan’s Aiko Sugihara (54.099) is in the lead, Nemour follows (53.865). Visser started her all-around strong on vault and bars. She also continued her four-athlon well on beam. She fell on floor in the first acrobatic series.

Visser still has to wait until Tuesday evening local time to see whether her score is sufficient for the all-around final (top 24). “I left a lot on the floor, that fall was an expensive mistake,” she said. “I don’t know how many gymnasts will participate in all-around events at this World Championship, so we’ll have to wait and see there too. Hopefully you’ll see me again on Thursday (in the final, ed.).”
Veerman only took action on the aircraft bridge. “If I had scored three-tenths more, I might have felt a bit more relaxed now,” said Veerman. “Now I think it’s going to be a tough one. I got through my exercise well, but I may have made too many mistakes. We’ll have to wait and see.”
The Dutch gymnasts failed to reach the finals at the World Championships.
