Nani has accumulated 283 minutes of play in ten Serie A games for Venezia FC since mid-January. About half a year later – after his engagement at Lazio Rome in the 2017/18 season – the second guest appearance of the 35-year-old left winger in Italy is over. Club and player agreed “by mutual consent to terminate the contract”, it says in a statement.
A goal in the jersey of Venice was not granted to the Portuguese. Nani moved to “the floating city” on a free transfer from MLS club Orlando City SC. The club was the ninth professional stop for the 112-time international and 2016 European champion, whose highest market value in 2012 was €36.5m while at Manchester United.
