Rafael Nadal has reached the fourth round of the US Open without much effort. He did not lose a set against the Frenchman Richard Gasquet: 6-0, 6-1, 7-5.

The number 2 in the world appeared to be unaffected by an injury to his nose, which he sustained in his second round match against Fabio Fognini on Thursday by hitting himself with his racket on the bridge of his nose. On Saturday night, there seemed to be nothing at all that could stop him from winning at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

He won the first set on love and only gave up one game in the second set. After a 2-0 deficit, Gasquet finally managed to break through Nadal’s service once in the third set, until 5-5. Nadal, however, finished it off without any problems after 2.17 minutes.

He will face American Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round on Monday.
