There the Spaniard meets Botic van de Zandschulp from the Netherlands on Monday.
For Nadal it was the 17th win in a row in a major. He has already won the Australian and French Opens this year and is still in contention for the historic calendar Grand Slam, triumph at the four biggest tennis tournaments of the season.
The Australian Rod Laver was the last to achieve this in 1969.
