The Roads and Traffic Agency has paid a large part of the invoice. It concerns approximately 2 million euros. The N357 is now being transferred to the municipalities, but investments in road infrastructure from Flanders are under pressure.
Annick De Ridder, Flemish Minister of Mobility: “A lot depends on the geopolitical situation, because if additional costs are submitted for every work because raw materials become more expensive and we have inflation, then that is problematic, because you only have the budgets that you have. I hope that the situation in the Middle East will stabilize quickly.”
The road between Oostrozebeke and Ingelmunster will be thoroughly tackled in the next legislature.
