Four cars were involved in a serious accident this morning on the N34 between Gasselte and Gieten.
The accident happened just after half past eight due to unknown causes. A car ended up upside down in a ditch. The driver was taken to hospital with head injuries. It is unknown how the other people involved are doing.
The N34 is closed to traffic in both directions between Gasselte and Annen. As a result, there is a traffic jam for the connection with the N33 from Zuidlaren.
