More than 6000 euros, but probably much more. That should actually pay the owner of a BMW left behind for parking his car in the Terminal M parking garage in the Eindhoven district of Meerhoven. Would, because manager P1 has no idea who the car is. In addition, the vehicle would have driven in the moment there was a malfunction.
The thick layer of dust over the car betrays that the vehicle has not left the garage for ages. In the meantime, some creative person have no longer been able to control themselves: the strangest texts and drawings have been applied to the BMW 3er Reihe.
The car itself looks like a storage place: there are two extra wheels and some bags on the rear seat. Furthermore, the car is no longer completely damage -free, because the flashing light front right and the left rear light are broken.
Popular among holidaymakers
At parking manager P1 they have no idea who the car is. “The car has been parked for quite some time. Our colleagues have also noticed this in January, but it may have been there for some time,” explains a spokesperson for parent company Q-Park.
Parking garage Terminal M is a large underground parking garage under the shopping center of Meerhoven. It has more than 600 parking spaces. The parking garage is also popular among holidaymakers flying through Eindhoven Airport. That is why it is not immediately strange if a car is there for a long time.
MOT expired
A simple calculation shows that the owner actually owes around 6000 euros in parking costs. But whether that owner will ever be detected is the question. “We have made attempts via the VvE and the police to find out who the car is, unfortunately without success,” says the spokesperson.
According to various car sites, the MOT expired on November 18, 2023. The vehicle would still be insured. P1 has now engaged a towing service. The local recovery company will soon be dragging off the car from the parking garage.
