“My son was ripped off by a S-Bahn controller”

Maxim P. (15) was walking downtown with a friend when he was pulled off by an inspector on the S-Bahn.

At home, he says, his student ticket was in the winter jacket he was wearing the day before. A controller therefore asked him to leave the train at the Jannowitz Bridge. Maxim should get a ticket for driving without a ticket.

The boy was hopelessly overwhelmed with the situation, according to his mother Nadine P. He is said to have told the inspector that he didn’t have 60 euros with him.

The inspector replied: “If you now give me the 40 euros from your wallet, you don’t have to pay the 60 euros fine.”

Unknowingly, Maxim paid the 40 euros – but the inspector still gave him a ticket for the full fine of 60 euros. The cash payment was not noted anywhere.

Mother Nadine P. is horrified: “My son was taken off the S-Bahn!” For mother and son it is clear: the man put the money in his own pocket.

Accepting cash from minors is strictly forbidden, the mother complains. In addition, her son should have been informed that the fine will be waived within a week after showing the student ticket. Only a processing fee of seven euros would have been due.

Nadine is certain: “My son should get his 40 euros back”. She filed a complaint.

Despite repeated requests, the S-Bahn did not want to comment on the incident against BZ.
