MVV gets its own anniversary beer: ‘Vol Mestrechter Geis’ | 1Limburg

MVV supporters have recently been able to drink a beer in honor of their club. The barley beer called ‘Bloonten Ingel’ was brewed in honor of the 120th anniversary of MVV.

The name refers to the type of beer (blonde) and the city angel of Maastricht. Volunteer organization Veer Zien MVV is responsible for the brew that is brewed in the Stadsbrouwerij on the Oeverwal in Maastricht.

‘Beer belongs to MVV’
Jasper Jongen, chairman of Veer see MVV: “A night at MVV includes beer, and this specialty beer is part of the anniversary of our club. Together with the traditional Maastricht City Brewery, we are putting this special beer on the market, in the hope that many supporters, football and beer lovers will taste Bloonten Ingel.”

Mestrechter Geis
According to him, the Bloonten Ingel promises a fresh blond beer with a slightly spicy and bitter aftertaste. Jasper Jongen: “The beer tastes like more and, just like our club, it is full of Mestrechter Geis!”
