The next transfer is braided: Hannover 96 is strengthening for the coming season with an offensive player from the English second division.
Hannover 96 made the tenth newcomer to the newcomers. The Lower Saxony reported the transfer of offensive player Mustapha Bundu on Wednesday. The 28-year-old comes from the English second division club Plymouth Argyle and signed a contract until June 2028 at the Maschsee. A transfer is not due for the right wing, his contract with his previous employer had expired.
“Overall, you can describe Mustapha as a very complete striker who will also enrich our young team with his experience,” said 96 managing director Marcus Mann about the next newcomer.
So far, the Sierra-Leonische international has stations at Aarhus GF in Denmark, the Belgian first division club RSC Anderlecht and FC Copenhagen in his vita. Since 2023 he finally played for Plymouth Argyle. There he scored 14 goals in 70 games and prepared eight more goals. Last season alone he was involved in 16 goals (ten goals, six templates).
He is convinced of his step into the 2nd Bundesliga. “What is happening here at Hannover 96 was extremely irritable. There is something new here, with the new coach and many new players in the team,” he says. “I would like to be there and play for this club, which brings a lot of tradition that is known beyond Germany in the football world, which has a large environment and many fans and of course always deals with ambitious goals.”
