Serious criminal suspicions
The police said in 2021 that they were investigating Manson’s suspected crimes from 2009-2011. Manson was then living in Hollywood.
The investigation included a search warrant issued at the musician’s Hollywood home. The case was originally handed over to prosecutors in September 2021. But the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office requested more evidence gathering, and the investigation continued.
Numerous women have accused Manson of various crimes. For example Game of Thrones -series actress Esmé Bianco sued Manson for rape. They settled the case out of court.
Bianco’s attorney has released a statement regarding the decision not to indict Manson.
“While I am deeply disappointed by the District Attorney’s decision not to file charges against Brian Warner, I am unfortunately not surprised,” the statement said.
– Once again, the justice system has failed the survivors. Not the individual prosecutors and detectives who worked for years on this case, but the system.
The accusations related to Manson first came to light when his ex-fiancée, actress Evan Rachel Wood, said on Instagram that Manson abused her.
Wood says Manson raped her on the set of a music video.
Wood and Manson’s relationship became public in 2007, when the man was 38 and the woman was 19. They were briefly engaged in 2010 before splitting.
– He groomed me when I was still a teenager. After that, he abused me in a terrible way for years, says Wood.
Manson has denied all charges.
