Musetti, the Ko a Wimbledon costs points in the ATP ranking

The defeat in the first round of Wimbledon risks being a serious blow for Lorenzo Musetti’s ranking. The Tuscan had legitimate Top 5 ambitions, after the Paris semifinal and the extraordinary season on Earth, but between injuries and viruses the last few weeks on the grass have been disastrous, with a lot of lost points. Lorenzo was unable to defend the Stuttgart semifinal, the Queen’s final and the Wimbledon semifinal, great results on the greenery obtained in 2024, over 1100 points that have volated within a nothing. The defeat with Basilashvili in Wimbledon cost Musetti 790 points and a position in the live ranking, where it has already been climbed by Novak Djokovic, with the Tuscan now in seventh place with 3350 points.
