Murray takes inspiration from Nadal and Cilic . for Wimbledon

Andy Murray draws inspiration from the performances of Rafael Nadal and Marin Cilic in the run-up to Wimbledon. The thirty-somethings are in the semifinals at Roland Garros and Murray hopes to be able to achieve that performance on the holy grass.

“I don’t know if it’s Rafa’s last run or not because he seems to be handling it very well physically. So I hope he can keep going for a while,” said Murray, 35. Nadal celebrates his 36th birthday on Friday.

“The same goes for Cilic. He is someone I grew up with in the juniors and with whom I played a lot. He is at the age of 33 for the first time in the semi-final of Roland Garros and plays very well. I can inspire get out of those guys.”

Murray has withdrawn from Roland Garros to prepare for the grass season as best he can.
