Mura Masa has announced a new album. DEMON TIME, as it is titled, is scheduled for release on September 16, 2022. The British producer and songwriter accompanied the announcement with the release of his new single “blessing me”, which he recorded together with Pa Salieu & Skillibeng. Hear it streamed here.
“blessing me” is the third pre-single from Mura Masa’s forthcoming album, following “2gether” and “bbycakes”. The record follows their predecessors MURA MASA (2017) and RYC (2020). ME author Stefan Hochgesand judged RAW YOUTH COLLAGE, his full title: “The globally inspired pop of the 23-year-old Grammy winner is so fit for the future that one can only hope that there may be one.” The debut Ayke Süthoff attested: “The next big thing exceeds the already high expectations with pop for 2017.”

So that’s where this ‘demon time‘ Idea came from – how do we soundtrack the 1am to 5am period where you start doing stupid shit that you don’t regret but wouldn’t do again when it emerges again post-lockdown?”
