During the national protest marches of the Dolle Mina’s last Saturday night, participants had to deal with unwanted behavior and sexual harassment. That is what the NOS and The Limburger Based on statements from participants.

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, hundreds of protesters took to the streets in the Netherlands in the Netherlands. Action group Dolle Mina wanted to draw attention to safer environments for women and men. Practers cycled to places that are experienced by women as unsafe. Several protest marches were also walked.

In Maastricht and Amersfoort, among others, unwanted behavior and sexual harassment were made. In Maastricht, female participants were chased, threatened and pinched in the buttocks, a spokesperson for Dolle Mina tells The Limburger.

In Amersfoort, demonstrators were scolded and pelted with cans, write the Amersfoortse Dolle Mina’s on Instagram. The procession was also shouted in Leiden and an egg was thrown, according to the NOS. In Eindhoven the route of the Mars was changed halfway because men called female -unfriendly things to the demonstrators.

Declaration

Coming from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Maastricht, Eindhoven, Leiden, Amersfoort, Zwolle and Groningen. The organization is now collecting reports from all over the country, including via social media. Campaigners announce that they will make an individual declaration. The Dolle Mina’s also consider doing this as an action group, writes the NOS.
