(toskanews) – Gabriele Muccino signs his first theater direction and from January 8th it brings to the stage Everyone’s fine at homean adaptation of his highly successful 2018 film, which was also made into a Sky series. The debut of the show will be in Sicilyfirst in Catania and then in Palermo, and will land in Rome from 4 to 15 February at the Ambra Jovinelli Theatrewhere the Roman director recounted his «debut»: «Without scenography, without walls, with adhesive tapes on the ground, imagining this is one thing, this is another, this is a garden, it seemed impossible to me that this thing would become alive. – confessed the director – Instead, theater has a magic that cinema ultimately doesn’t have».

The show produced by Best Live in co-production with the Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo has the music by Nicola Piovani and as leading actors Anna Galiena and Giuseppe Zeno in the role of the heads of the family, supported by many young performers. At the center of the story there is always the Restuccia family, who gathers for a birthday party during which they explode old grudges and new tensionsand eleven characters emerge who offer a mirror of complex human and family relationships.
«In reality I applied what I know how to do quite well, which is choreographing the actors and building the scene. – said Muccino – It was very very tiring for me because it was like putting together eight very complex sequence shots.
