FC Bayern Munich has broken the billion-dollar barrier in terms of sales. President Herbert Hainer presented the record at the annual general meeting, which the German record champions recorded at 1.017 billion euros. “Now we are not only reaching another record – but a dimension that even FC Bayern has never reached before,” emphasized Hainer.
The total turnover of FC Bayern Munich from AG, Group and Basketball GmbH was 690 million euros two years ago. At the 2023 annual general meeting it was 882 million euros.
The club, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary next year, has had 360,000 members since the summer – this number has continued to rise rapidly. FC Bayern now has 382,000 members. For his 125th birthday, Hainer already wants to break the 400,000 mark.
Remembering Beckenbauer – No Musiala extension to the AGM
Sports director Max Eberl was unable to give the Munich supporters a contract extension for the annual general meeting for the 2nd Advent. “Nothing will happen,” said Eberl with regard to Jamal Musiala before the event in Munich’s BMW Park.
The annual members’ convention was also dedicated to the memory of the “Emperor” Franz Beckenbauer, who died at the beginning of the year. His wife Heidi and son Noel were present in the hall. The former libero’s jersey number 5 should no longer be awarded.
The 21-year-old Musiala should also become a defining face, perhaps even a legend in the history of the record champions. The extension of the contract with the top youngster, which expires in mid-2026, is the most urgent and highest-priority personnel issue at the club at the moment, even before the further commitment of DFB captain Joshua Kimmich (29).
Both should become the club’s “guardrail players” for the future, as President Hainer emphasized in his speech. “Jamal was once again a difference player yesterday.” We are working hard on Musiala’s big contract package – and Eberl sincerely hopes “that at some point we will get the hang of it.”
