Mousa Dembélé (ex-AZ and Willem II) retires from football | Football

His career started with Germinal Beerschot, after which he played in the Eredivisie with Willem II and AZ. For the Alkmaarders he made the most beautiful Eredivisie goals of this century against his old club. He also became national champion with AZ and won the Johan Cruijff Scale. It then moved on to the Premier League, with Fulham and Tottenham, to finally end up with Guangzhou City in China in 2019.

At the Red Devils Dembélé had already said goodbye earlier. In November 2019, after 82 caps and five goals, he announced his retirement as an international. In addition, Dembélé has played a total of 587 matches at club level. He scored 62 times and provided 49 assists.
