I live close to this boulevard, a small park next to the former hotel Ukraïna, which is still called that in the vernacular. The hotel is located on Taras Svjechenkokade, named after the famous Ukrainian writer. His statue stands prominently atop the hotel’s parking garage. If you walk down the boulevard, you will arrive at the metro ‘Kievskaya’, and the train station ‘Kiev’, where the trains used to leave from Moscow to Kiev.
