Mount Kimbie are back! The duo of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos have released two double-A-side singles entitled “MK 3.5”. The names of the other participants can also be heard: Slowthai and Danny Brown can be heard on the song “In Your Eyes”, and the Texan R&B artist Liv.E.
Mount Kimbie released their last full-length album to date in 2017 with LOVE WHAT SURVIVES. In 2021 they followed up with “Black Stone” and “Blue Liquid”, two songs that came from the LOVE WHAT SURVIVES sessions. You can read the ME feature for the 2018 album here.
“In Your Eyes” is not the first collaboration between Mount Kimbie and slowthai: Mount Kimbie was already heard on slowthai’s song “feel away” in 2020. They were also featured in Actress’ song “AZD Turf” in 2022. In 2018 they also released the DJ set DJ KICKS.
