Two cars collided with each other on the Groningerweg (N372) near Peize tonight around 10 p.m. One driver was seriously injured in the accident. The other driver was also injured, but not life-threatening. Both drivers were the only ones involved.
The accident happened halfway between Peizermade and Peizerwolde, due to an unknown cause. The fire brigade had to be called in to free the trapped occupants from their precarious position. Both involved were then taken to hospital.
The road is currently closed in both directions due to the accident.
