A motorist was injured on the Nieuwe Dijk in Coevorden this evening after one of the drivers overlooked the other. As a result, one of the cars ended up in the ditch.
The other driver was slightly injured but ultimately did not have to be taken to hospital. Both cars were seriously damaged and were towed away by a recovery company.
