A motorist lost his power over the wheel this afternoon, due to unknown cause and bumped into a tree in Zweeloo. Local residents immediately came to the rescue and caught the victim until the emergency services arrived.
The driver was taken to the hospital. Nothing is known about the severity of the injuries. Due to the blow, the road is littered with debris.
The police have completely closed the road for traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
