A motorist caused havoc in Budel-Dorplein on Monday afternoon. The man wanted to park his car in a driveway on Prins Hendrikstraat after which he accidentally pushed on the gas instead of the brake. The man was so shocked that he then drove out through a window at the back of the garage and entered several gardens.
The man did not let go of the gas after his drive through the garage and then drove through the backyard into a nearby playground. After which he drove through a wooden fence, via the driveway past a house, into the front garden.
The driver there turned the car, crossed the road and again drove through a front yard. The car then came to a stop against a concrete garden fence.
Very shocked
Neighbors got the man out of the car. According to a 112 correspondent, from the moment he rammed into the garage door, the man was so startled that he was unable to stop the car.
Miraculously, no one was injured. The driver was examined by paramedics and did not need to be taken to hospital. The police also arrived on the scene. The car was taken by a recovery company.
