A motorist was injured last night in an accident on Twaalf Ellenweg in Geesbrug. The victim ran off the road and crashed into a tree.
Passers-by are said to have discovered the badly damaged car around 00.30. The driver was removed from the car by emergency services.
In addition to the ambulance, police and fire brigade, a trauma helicopter also came to the site of the accident. The injured driver was eventually taken to hospital in Zwolle by ambulance.
The cause of the accident is not yet known and is under investigation by the police.
