A driver fled on Thursday night after a collision in Vlijmen. He abandoned his crashed car and fled to another car, according to a witness.
The police received a report at night of an accident in the Wolput in Vlijmen. Someone had veered off the bend and came to a halt against a fence.
When they got there, they saw a badly damaged car, but no motorist. According to witnesses, the driver had fled. The officers could no longer find the man.

A recovery company picked up the damaged car. The car receives a WOK message. This means that it can no longer be driven until the Road Traffic Department (RDW) has inspected the car.
“The driver may pay the towing costs. The driver/owner will also be held responsible for the damage to the fencing,” the police wrote on Instagram.
