They don’t just jet through Germany in bunny outfits on motorbikes at Easter, but all year round.

The Streetbunnycrew association collects money for a good cause. With the costumes, the members are sure of one thing: attention.

“People say, can you stop, they’re all funny that we’re driving in the outfit,” said Silvia Haas, who heads the Berlin and Brandenburg regions in the club.

“It doesn’t matter whether it’s a pedestrian, car driver, cyclist – everyone is happy that someone is so funny on the road.”

There are 400 members nationwide, said Haas at a stop during an exit in Berlin. Passers-by kept stopping and taking photos of the bikers. In this way, the members draw attention to people who are not doing so well.

According to Haas, the donations go to institutions that work with children and don’t have enough funds themselves. A year is spent collecting money for a project. The aim is to put a smile on the faces of children and adults and thus “let them forget the difficulties of everyday life for a moment”, according to a flyer from the association, which bikers are distributing in Berlin and Brandenburg.
