Last Saturday, the police received a report from the man on the motorcycle, who drove a small child on the back of the N242 towards Alkmaar. Traffic agent Emiel is asked to stop the engine, he says on Instagram.
The man seems to obey in the first instance, but at the Kooimeer roundabout he kicks the accelerator pedal and leaves.
The siren comes on and the chase is used. At the Vondelstraat the agent is on him, but then the man drives into a side street and disappears from sight.
He is almost in danger of escaping, but with the help of various bystanders, who point the police on the escape route, the traffic agent will track him again.
