The motorcyclist was driving on Eernegemsestraat, in the direction of Eernegem. The 65-year-old man from Ichtegem was no longer able to avoid a car that wanted to cross the intersection of Pardoenstraat and Ossenweg and crashed into the side of the car.
The motorcyclist had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver is a 26-year-old man from Ichtegem. He was not injured, but he did give a positive saliva test. So he was under the influence of narcotics and immediately lost his driver’s license for fifteen days.
