A motorcyclist was injured in an accident on the A28 near Assen this afternoon. The driver fell to the ground for unknown reasons.
Police and ambulance were called immediately after the accident. The victim was taken to hospital by one of the ambulances present. An air ambulance was also requested for assistance, but proved unnecessary and was eventually deregistered.
A lane of the A28 in the direction of Groningen was closed due to the accident. The road is now completely clear again. The vehicle was taken by a recovery company.
