A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle accident this afternoon on the Houtrakkersweg in Halfweg.
Several emergency services, including police, ambulance and an air ambulance, arrived on the scene around a quarter to five. Unfortunately, the help was no longer of any use. The victim died of his injuries, a police spokesperson confirmed.
The road is currently closed and the Forensic Traffic Investigation is conducting further investigations to determine the circumstances of the accident.
