A motorcyclist crashed hard on Tuesday evening after he hit the back of a car in Deventer. He was rushed to hospital.
The accident happened just before midnight at the intersection of Brinkgreverweg and Bleekstraat. The motorcycle was driving on Brinkgreverweg when suddenly a car turned onto the road.
The motorcyclist was unable to brake in time and hit the back of the car hard. The impact broke the front fork off the motorcycle.
He shot across the street. Loose parts hit several parked cars. The motorcycle eventually ended up through the parked cars a few meters in front of the car it had crashed into.
Urgent to hospital
The motorcyclist also shot past the car and ended up against the parked cars on the road surface. That went wrong for the motorcyclist. He was seriously injured and was rushed to hospital by ambulance. The motorist was uninjured.
Because the cause of the accident is not entirely clear, the Traffic Accident Analysis of the police conducted an extensive investigation after midnight.
