The accident happened on Langemarkseweg near the intersection with Poezelstraat. A motorcyclist crashed into the back of a Volkswagen Golf.
The driver of the motorcycle appeared to be in serious condition and had to be resuscitated on the spot, after which the victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The Langemarkseweg remained closed to traffic until all findings had been made. In the meantime, the West Flanders public prosecutor’s office also sent a traffic expert to the scene of the accident to investigate the precise circumstances.
