Claudio Santamaria is at the cinema with Idols – Until the last race directed by Mat Whitecross and also starring Óscar Casas and Ana Mena. “It’s the first film about the world of MotoGP – explains the actor -. It was shot with the support of Dorna in the stages of the championship in Spain, Italy, the United States and Japan. The teams accepted and supported us also with changes to the script thanks to suggestions from Gino Borsoi, Paolo Campinoti and others”. For Santamaria the film is also an opportunity to return to a lifelong passion: “At 12-13 years old I learned to ride a scooter, I knew how to dismantle the carburettor and clean it”. And then the first motorbike: “A Honda XL250R (for travelling, ed)”. With Idols the actor’s interest in two wheels has been rekindled: “I like enduro very much”.
