cross nations: race 1

Where were we? Like in 2023 MXGP World Championship it’s always them, Jorge Prado and Romain Febvre, the cover men of the first heat, the one that sees the 450s of the top class and the 250 4Ts of MX2 on the track. The Spaniard, world champion in the MXGP, tries to escape, but the Frenchman, his great rival this season, keeps a close eye on him. After eight laps, Febvre takes the lead with a masterful overtaking and, in the final, responds to Prado’s final assault, winning the race. Third Ken Roczen (Germany), despite a problem on his Suzuki. Then Jeremy Seewer (Switzerland), followed by Aaron Plessinger (United States). Amazing Jett Lawrence (Australia), sixth after a comeback from twenty-third position. Behind him Tim Gajser (Slovenia), while Tom Vialle, the best of the MX2 riders, allows France to gain ground. Jago Geerts (Belgium) finished ninth ahead of Hunter Lawrence (Australia). Italy does not shine: Alberto Forato twelfth, Andrea Adamo eighteenth. France leads the standings with 9 points, ahead of Australia and Germany, on 16 and 17 respectively. The Azzurri are eighth, stuck on 30 points.

cross nations: race 2

The challenge between MX2 and Open riders takes place in the second heat. Ruben Fernandez, Spain’s representative, took the best shot. Behind him, however, in a few laps the two standard bearers of France lead, Maxime Renaux And Tom VialleWhile Andrea Adamo he climbs up the rankings, placing himself close to the top 5. The turning point comes towards mid-race: Fernandez, pressured by Renaux, falls and leaves the way for the French double. A one-two that takes place on parade amidst the enthusiasm of the local fans. Italy, however, had to settle for fourth place scored by Andrea Adamo, preceded by the Belgian Liam Everts in the derby between Ktm. The other Italian, Andrea Bonacorsi on Yamaha finishes eighth: in front of him Hunter Lawrence (Australia), Valentin Guillod (Switzerland) and Fernandez. Also in the top 10 were Kay de Wolf and RJ Hampshire. The general classification records the escape of France, with 12 points. Italy gets onto the provisional podium, third at 40, behind Australia (33).

cross nations: match 3

The third heat, with the MXGP and Open starting, opens in the name of Roczen. Ken, chasing important points for Germany, is followed by Jett Lawrence (Australia), while France manages with Renaux third. The Italians did well overall: Forato eighth, while Bonacorsi climbed up to eleventh position. A placement that would guarantee the podium. As the laps go by, however, the challenge for the heat victory heats up: Lawrence attacks, Roczen resists. The German, however, gives up at the end, giving way to the wild Australian. The positions end up crystallizing until the checkered flag. Fourth Prado (Spain), ahead of Gajser (Slovenia). Then Seewer (Switzerland), Febvre (France), Forato (Italy), Calvin Vlaanderen (Holland) and the excellent Liam Everts (Belgium). The results thus design the final podium and bring the curtain down on 2023 motocross.
