This is apparent from the overview of mortgage advice chain Van Bruggen. In recent weeks, the average interest rates for ten and twenty years fixed with NHG have risen by an average of 0.12 and 0.13 percentage points per week respectively.
In the past two weeks, the increase by an average of 0.10 percentage point was less severe than in the weeks before, but the trend continues to rise.
Record
The increase is even spectacular in the ten-year fixed interest rate with NHG. Between 2006 and 2009, interest rates rose by 1.94 percentage points. With a plus of 1.76 percentage points, that record of this century has now almost been achieved in less than seven months.
Van Bruggen also does not foresee an end to the interest rate hikes. Market rates are still going up, so mortgage rates are likely to follow.
