Expert on Groningen earthquake: ‘Either we take something out or we put something in’

In the night from Thursday to Friday, Groningen was again hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale, one of the strongest quakes the province has experienced in years. The shock caused a lot of unrest among residents, especially because the debate about reopening gas extraction has flared up again in recent weeks. The timing of the quake makes the discussion even more sensitive. In News of the Day, reporter Pim Markering reports from the affected area and speaks to residents about the damage, fear and their expectations for the period.
