More than a hundred Dutch companies from SMEs to large companies will be present at the Hannover Messe 2025. This is the largest trade fair in the world for the (manufacturing) industry where it’s all about technological innovations for high-tech (materials), mobility, semiconductors, IT and energy infrastructure. Minister Dirk Beljaarts (Economic Affairs) supports Dutch companies on the international event in the German city on Monday 31 March.

A significant part of the innovative Dutch entrepreneurs can be found in a special NL pavilion. This year, for the first time, both the startups, scale -ups and the already established manufacturing industry are companies and organizations in one location. Minister Beljaarts opens the pavilion and supports these Dutch (high-tech) companies that enter into new collaborations with other companies and investors at De Hannover Messe.

During the Hannover Messe, the minister also receives an agenda from the Dutch (supplying) automotive sector that exports € 20 billion annually, 44% of which to Germany. The agenda emphasizes the strategic importance of the sector for the Dutch economy and contains concrete proposals to strengthen the position of the Netherlands as a leader in sustainable mobility.

Minister Beljaarts is also the host of a large round table consultation between Dutch and German top entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions and governments about European competitive position, innovation cooperation, technologies such as AI, semiconductors and economic security.

De Hannover Messe has been around since 1947 and attracted more than 130,000 visitors from more than 70 countries last year. More than 4,000 companies are present in total at the fair where agreements are made about collaborations and about investments in innovative products and services.
