More than 50 Balmain pieces stolen

More than 50 pieces from the French fashion house Balmain are said to have been stolen.

Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing posted a post on his Instagram about the incident on Saturday. It says that a driver was attacked on the way from the airport to the company’s headquarters.

“This is so unfair,” Rousteing said in the social media post. “My team and I worked so hard. We will work more – day and night – [und] Our suppliers will also work day and night, but that is so disrespectful.” The creative director published this post to remind his followers that they should take nothing as guaranteed and be careful.

Balmain is part of the official Paris Fashion Week calendar and will present its SS24 collection on September 27th. It is currently unknown what impact the attack will have on the show and collection.

Balmain was not available to comment at the time of publication. This post may be updated with more information at a later date.
