More than 4 million people have fled Ukraine

The number of refugees from Ukraine has risen to more than 4 million more than a month after the war started. According to UN refugee agency UNHCR, there are 4.019 million. In addition, millions of Ukrainians are internally displaced.

The counter stood at 3 million two weeks ago. The lion’s share has fled to Poland, others to neighboring countries such as Romania, Moldova, Hungary and Slovakia. The Polish Border Guard has now let 2.34 million people through, hundreds of thousands of whom have moved to countries in Western Europe.
