More than 30 DJs will play LPs for 100 hours in the Zuidwolde vinyl café

A party tent? No, it’s not really. An après ski hut? No, neither. “We are in the Wolder Vinyl Café in Zuidwolde,” says Vera Vos. Together with Jan Schoenmaker, she is the initiator of the vinyl café, which is located in a large tent behind the church in Zuidwolde.

The inside of the café is decorated with wood, but also dark brown furniture, an old piano, painted album covers on the wall and a few Christmas trees. In this café, one hundred hours of vinyl will be played until Saturday, by more than thirty different DJs.

“I brought very different music,” says Albert Haar, one of the DJs. “From authentic American blues to country music and blue grass. And many singles of course from the 60s. From The Animals and The Kinks, for example. A lot of old gold, so to speak.”
