More than 150 tips about missing Germa van den Boom: ‘Some interesting tips’

More than one hundred and fifty tips have been received by the Peter R. de Vries Foundation about the disappearance of Germa van den Boom from Nieuwendijk. This has been reported by chairman Lex de Jager of the foundation. A week and a half ago, the counter stood at about a hundred tips.

Until April 20 next year, 250,000 euros will be offered for the golden tip to its location. The foundation looks at all tips and then forwards them to the police cold case team. According to De Jager, there are also some “interesting” tips.

The 19-year-old Van den Boom disappeared in the night of 28 to 29 July 1984 from her parental home in Nieuwendijk. She was home alone for the first time that weekend. Her parents and younger brother were with relatives at the time. Because traces of blood were found in the house after her disappearance, the police assumed a crime.
