More than 150 people convicted in St. Petersburg for participating in memorial meeting | Abroad

A total of 154 people were sentenced to a maximum of fourteen days in prison on Saturday and Sunday, according to the judgments made public by the court in St. Petersburg.

There is currently no clarity about the sentences handed down in other Russian cities. The civil rights organization Ovd-info reported on Saturday evening that a total of more than four hundred people had been arrested in 36 Russian cities.

Navalny was one of the best-known political opponents of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He died on Saturday at the age of 47 in the IK-3 penal camp in Charp, Jamalia Autonomous District.
