More than 100 dead from Hurricane Ian | Abroad

Rescue workers in Florida are making a second round of about 45,000 homes in the affected area. They went door-to-door as quickly as possible after Ian raced through the region on Wednesday, but will now look more extensively for survivors and victims.

After the hurricane, some 3.3 million homes and businesses in Florida were without power. Monday evening there were still 491,000. Insurers estimate the damage caused by Ian at at least 63 billion dollars, converted more than 64 billion euros.
