May 26, 2026 – 1:32 p.mReading time: 1 min.

Ex-Werder professional and fan favorite Marvin Ducksch was convicted in England. Now the 32-year-old has to think about how to get from A to B.
In the summer of 2025, Marvin Ducksch left Werder Bremen towards England and moved to the second division team Birmingham City FC.
In terms of sport, things didn’t go particularly well at the beginning. Ducksch also made negative impressions in England away from the pitch. The striker was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. On Easter Monday 2026 he was involved in a car accident with two other vehicles. The 32-year-old was even arrested but released on bail. There are now consequences for drunk driving.
Alcohol limit was 0.7
Marvin Ducksch pleaded guilty at trial and was fined £16,000 and banned from driving for 14 months at Leamington Spa Magistrates Court. The “Deichstube” reported this on Tuesday.
Accordingly, the ex-Werder professional is said to have had around 1.06 per mille and was therefore well above the permitted level of 0.7 per mille. Compensation was also due to be paid to the drivers of the vehicles involved.
