In the near future, the municipality of Meppel will also invest in more greenery around the canal area and invest money in safety, parking and events. In addition, the ‘façade improvement subsidies’ will be continued with extra attention to cultural history and iconic buildings. The municipality is also committed to cooperation and will provide hospitality training.
