More flights but less night noise in Bierset permit

At the moment there are about 35,000 flights to and from the Walloon airport every year. Bierset’s plans led to protests in Belgian and Dutch Limburg. Maastricht, Eijsden-Margraten, Gulpen-Wittem and Vaals, together with eight Flemish municipalities, objected to the expansion plans. According to HbvL, these municipalities are still investigating whether they will object to the new permit.
