The singer sets another record on the Billboard charts.
Taylor Swift’s top 10 albums spent a total of 384 weeks on the Billboard 200 album charts. This beats the Beatles, who previously held this record with 382 weeks over the last 60 years.
On the current Billboard 200 charts, Swift has three albums in the top 10, bringing her total number of weeks in the top 10 to 384 – for all of her 16 top 10 albums combined. In the current list, she is represented by three former No. 1 albums: 1989 (TAYLOR’S VERSION at number six, LOVER at number seven and MIDNIGHTS at number nine (although all three LPs are in the top 10 in a single week, they carry three weeks to your overall result).
MIDNIGHTS tops the personal Swift charts
Since the Billboard 200 merged its previously separate mono and stereo album charts in 1963, Swift has now had the most weeks in the top 10. She overtakes the Beatles, who were last in the top 10 on November 12, 2022, as one Deluxe reissue of the 1966 album REVOLVER managed to re-enter the list in fourth place.
Of all of Swift’s albums, MIDNIGHTS has spent the most time in the top 10 charts, with 68 weeks. For the Beatles it was their album SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEART CLUB BAND at 35 weeks. The musician and the band’s record are followed by the Rolling Stones with 309 weeks, Barbra Streisand with 277 weeks and Drake and Mariah Carey with 233 weeks each with the most weeks in the top 10.
The new charts, dated March 2, 2024, will be released in full on the Billboard website on February 27.
