There are currently more people in our country infected with the flu virus than with corona. Of the estimated 50,000 Belgians who consulted their GP last week because they felt the flu, three quarters indeed had the flu. The rest suffered from another respiratory infection, including Covid-19. How dangerous is the flu really? Is the disease as deadly as corona? Does it make sense to get a flu vaccine now?
